Daniela

Daniela Switzer

Team Psychologist

Daniella is a registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, bringing over 10 years of experience working with children and families to assess, consult, and provide support in the realm of mental health. Her expertise lies in conducting assessments for children and adults, helping them better understand their unique learning profiles and needs.

Recognizing that formal education can be a significant challenge for some individuals—sometimes to the point of avoidance—Daniella is deeply committed to creating positive and empowering educational experiences. She is a passionate advocate for lifelong learning, firmly believing that everyone learns differently and has the potential to grow when supported with the right tools and opportunities.

Daniella’s ultimate goal is to help people overcome barriers, embrace education, and realize their full potential. Her leadership and insights at Positive Kids ensure that our programs are effective, compassionate, and tailored to the unique needs of the children and families we serve.

Chris-Owusu

Christopher Owusu

Clinic Director

Christopher Owusu is a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional , registered with the College of Social Workers, who has been actively working in the field of children’s mental health for the past three years. Drawing from both his professional expertise and personal experiences, Christopher is committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families.

Christopher’s journey in children’s mental health is deeply rooted in his own life story. Growing up with a younger brother on the autism spectrum, he witnessed firsthand the challenges and triumphs that come with navigating life with a child on the spectrum. These experiences have shaped his mission to advocate for children with autism and their families, providing them with the support and tools they need to thrive. His goal is to help families not only manage the complexities of life with a child on the spectrum but also to feel empowered and supported along the way.

With a natural ability to connect with children, Christopher is passionate about helping them discover their strengths and achieve their full potential. His approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a belief in the transformative power of positive relationships. Christopher enjoys creating safe, nurturing environments where children feel valued and capable of becoming their best selves.

At Positive Kids, Christopher’s dedication and insight enhance the services we provide to children and families. His unique perspective and lived experience enable him to connect with clients on a deeper level, fostering trust and collaboration. Christopher’s work is a testament to his belief that every child has the potential to grow, succeed, and shine when given the right support and encouragement.

Andrea

Andrea Del Rosario

Andrea Del Rosario is a passionate and dedicated behaviour analyst with a strong foundation in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). As a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) with a Master’s degree in Professional Education – ABA from Western University, Andrea has a diverse skill set across clinical, educational, and community settings.

Her experience includes conducting comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA), developing individualized Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIPs), and coaching professionals in implementing evidence-based interventions such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET). Andrea is driven by a commitment to promoting meaningful progress, collaborating with families and interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring that every individual she supports receives compassionate and effective care.

Cornelia Gillespie

Cornelia Gillespie

I am a Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) student at St. Lawrence College, passionate about helping individuals improve their communication skills. With extensive experience working with children, I have supported a variety of goals, including language development, articulation, and behavioral communication strategies.

As a mother to a child who has benefited from speech services, I understand firsthand the impact that early intervention and therapy can have.

This personal experience fuels my dedication to making communication more accessible and meaningful for others. I look forward to applying my skills in clinical settings to support individuals in reaching their full potential.

Kristina Nikolaienko

Kristina Nikolaienko

Behavioral Support Specialist-in-Training

With over 8 years of hands-on experience in building meaningful relationships, Kristina has developed a deep understanding of the power of connection and trust in supporting others. She is currently pursuing an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification and working toward her Master’s degree in Psychology. Kristina is committed to expanding her knowledge and developing her skills in a wide range of areas to better support those she works with.

Kristina holds a Bachelor’s degree from a pedagogical university, which laid the foundation for her commitment to understanding and assisting individuals with diverse developmental needs. She believes that fostering trust is not just a strategy but the cornerstone of creating lasting, positive change.

Driven by the belief that mental health is as essential as physical health, Kristina is passionate about helping individuals thrive in all aspects of their well-being. She is always seeking to expand her expertise to provide the most effective, person-centered support. Her approach is rooted in empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a meaningful impact.

Clinical Positions

Registered Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)

Lead and supervise therapy programs, develop individualized treatment plans, and guide therapists in delivering high-quality care.

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)

Work one-on-one with children to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a BCBA.

Occupational Therapists

Help children build fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills to promote independence and confidence.

Speech-Language Pathologists

Support children in developing effective communication skills, including speech, language, and social interaction.

Psychologists

Conduct assessments, provide therapy, and develop strategies to support children’s emotional and cognitive development.

Clinical Social Workers/Psychotherapists

Offer counseling, advocacy, and resources to families navigating the challenges of autism.
